Sugababes launch their new album

'Sweet 7' is the much anticipated album from the Sugababes, their first featuring their newest line up, but their seventh album since the group formed.

Capital's showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes was invited along to the launch. This is what happened:

The 'Sweet 7' album launch party was held at the rather cool Supper Club, in Notting Hill last night. Heidi, Amelle and Jade performed classic hits and new tracks to a selected gathering of fans and some music industry types - which must include me! Before the girls came on stage, I was treated to apple mojhjitos and a three course meal. Thanks guys! This was followed by a variety of acts, most of which could've been turns from either Cirque de Soleil or Britain's Got Talent. Yes, whilst the Sugababes were down the road meeting politicians at the House of Commons (haven't they got an election to be worrying about?) I was watching a woman dancing on a rocking moon. It's actually a lot more exciting than it sounded.

Finally the girls took to the stage at 10pm, opening with an amazing version of Freak Like Me. The girls looked chilled, seriously sexy and loved every second.  About a Girl, Get Sexy, Too Lost in you and current track Wear my Kiss were the stand out tracks from the setlist, in my opinion. Oh and the live band sounded equally awesome, even though they were dressed in boiler suits and creepy face masks. Holly Vallance was also there watching the girls. afterwards, I grabbed a quick chat with the girls as they came off stage. Take a listen:

After that, it was time to party with Capital's Roberto and Greg Burns who were both on top form, and there was even time to dance to a few classic Michael Jackson tunes with Heidi and Amelle.
