Niall Horan addresses Selena Gomez dating rumours

Niall Horan revealed if Selena Gomez is his girlfriend in a new interview about 'Nice to Meet Ya' and his dating life.
Niall Horan has spoken up about the rumours he's dating Selena Gomez and whether he's working on new music with her.
Earlier this month (Oct 4), Niall Horan and Selena Gomez were photographed celebrating the release of Niall's single 'Nice to Meet Ya' together. Since then, they've also been spotted visiting each other's houses and praising each other on Instagram. Selena also shared an Instagram story supporting 'Nice to Meet Ya' writing: "this came out like 5 min ago... and I'm pretty sure you need to download". Niall later posted a story next to a poster of Selena writing: "Hello there Sel". Our hearts.

This led fans to start speculating that Niall and Selena may be boyfriend and girlfriend and now, Niall has revealed all.
Are Selena Gomez and Niall Horan dating?
Speaking to Sirius XM about whether or not the Selena dating rumours are true, Niall said: "We're friends. We have the same group of friends." He then explained: "We hang out all the time. The one photo that was ever taken got posted. We are good friends."
As to whether or not we can expect a Niall and Selena duet anytime soon, Niall revealed: "No collaborations as of yet. I know she's been doing some music too." He then reiterated: "We were just out for dinner."
In other words, Niall is definitely not dating Selena Gomez but he has been pretty open about fancying her in the past. Telling PopBuzz, who his first celebrity crush was back in 2017, Niall revealed that it was Mary Kate and Ashley and Selena Gomez. He also said that he would marry Selena Gomez in a game of Snog, Marry, Avoid on Carpool Karaoke in 2015 and he even joked about "rekindling" a relationship with Selena on On Air with Ryan Seacrest in 2016.

Essentially, Niall and Selena are not together now. However, we wouldn't rule out a friends-to-romance glow-up in the future. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello started dating this year after years of being friends and now they're madly in love with each other. Whether Niall and Selena share the same fate is yet to be seen.
