Nicole Scherzinger Declares Break-Ups "Really Suck" During X Factor UK Auditons

The 'Try With Me' singer seems to comment on her recent split from Lewis Hamilton during the latest auditions.

Nicole Scherzinger has admitted that break-ups "suck" after an X Factor hopeful's performance during auditions in Cardiff.

The 'Boomerang' singer is dealing with her recent split from Lewis Hamilton after five years together, after it was confirmed they had ended things earlier this week.

After returning to her seat on the X Factor UK panel this week Nicole was left feeling blue after one hopeful performing a song about love for their audition.

"It pulled on my heartstrings," an emotional Nicole told the hopeful, reports The Sun. "It sucks doesn't it? Really sucks.

"It's so depressing but it's so good," the 'Try With Me' singer added while giving her feedback. "I would buy your album."

It has been reported that despite the break-up Nicole opted to go straight back to work on the ITV show, and received a lot of support from fans and her fellow judges.

"Throughout the day she was showered with presents from contestants after celebrating her 35th birthday during the week," the publication cites one source as saying. "She really appreciated that and she even impressed her fellow judges by doing the splits during a break in auditions."

Earlier this week Nicole was said to be 'heartbroken' after she and Formula One driver Lewis ended things, despite reports as recently as several weeks ago that a marriage proposal may have been on the cards.

Nicole Scherzinger joins Sharon Osbourne, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh on the panel for the new series of The X Factor UK.
