Katy B puts chart success down to mum's influence.
Mercury Prize nominee Katy B thinks her singing career is down to her harshest critic; her own mum.
"My mum was one of the first people to hear my music for the last album. She kind of thought she was my A&R," Katy told the Daily Star.
"She heard all of my demos and she would say, 'Why isn't this track on there? You should have included this.'
"My mum thought it was her job."
Katy, who will be releasing new single 'Witches Brew' later this month, is on the look out for some big names to collaborate with on her second album.
"When I was just starting out I was always 'featuring Katy B' and it would be really nice to turn it around."
