The 'Do You Feel What I Feel?' singers say they have their "fingers crossed" ahead of the BRIT Awards ceremony at London's O2 Arena in February.
JLS say they are "so excited" about being nominated for Best Song at next month's BRIT Awards 2012.
The 'Take A Chance On Me' singers received a nod for their summer 2011 single 'She Makes Me Wanna', which features rapper Dev, at the BRIT Awards Nominations party tonight (12th January).
"Yessssss! We are nominated with @DEVisHot for best British single at the Brits 2012 for She Makes Me Wanna!!! Yeh man!!," Marvin Humes tweeted straight after the announcement today.
"Nominated for best british single!! soooooooo excited!! fingers crossed we can go on and win it!" JB Gill posted, before adding: "It's up2 u capital winners!!"
JLS are up against the likes of Adele, Jessie J and One Direction in the prestigious BRITs category, which was chosen on the basis of sales results as well as volume of commercial radio air-play in the 2011 calendar year.
Voting for all of the categories at this year's BRIT Awards has now opened, including the British Single award, which is voted for by listeners of Capital FM.
Each listener who casts a vote for British Single will be entered into a competition to win a pair of tickets to this year's ceremony.
