Adele, JLS And Jessie J Nominated For Best Single At BRIT Awards 2012

One Direction, Example and Olly Murs are also shortlisted for the prestigious award at next month's ceremony.

Adele, JLS, One Direction and The Wanted are among the artists all nominated for Best Single at this year's BRIT Awards in London.

The 10-strong shortlist for British Single was announced during a special event at the Savoy Hotel tonight (12th January).

It also includes songs by Example, Jessie J, The Military Wives, Olly Murs featuring Rizzle Kicks and Pixie Lott.

The shortlist was selected based on the greatest volume of commercial radio air-play as well as sales results in the 2011 calendar year.

Voting is now open for the British Single category.

The winner of this prestigious award will be as a result of your votes, and they will collect their prize when the BRITs take place at London's O2 Arena on 21st February.
