The 'Proud' singer says he is looking forward to the "amazing experience" of judging on the show.
JLS star Aston Merrygold has officially confirmed his new role on Sky1 talent series Got To Dance and says he can't wait for the "amazing experience" for helping mentor the next generation of dancers.
The 'Take A Chance On Me' singer was announced just under two weeks ago as the official replacement for original show panellist Adam Garcia, who has stepped down from the upcoming fourth season due to other commitments.
Aston posted a brand new video diary through the band's official Twitter account earlier today (23rd August) to talk openly about him joining the show's judging panel, with the 'She Makes Me Wanna' singer promising to be a "fair" judge and thanking fans for their support.
"I have some absolutely incredible news, that some of you may already know, but I just wanted you to hear it from myself," Aston says in the video clip. "I am actually going to be joining the team on Got To Dance, with Ashley [Banjo] and Kimberley [Wyatt].
"I'm so excited, I can't wait to see all of you guys performing and auditioning all across the country and stuff," he explained. "I'm just going to hit the star every time!
"[No], I'm going to be fair, and it's going to be an amazing experience and a great show so hopefully you enjoy it, fingers crossed," Aston added. "Thanks for the support so far guys, I love you and I'll see you soon."
