The 'Heaven' singer says she thought the three-piece girl group was "so cool" when they first came out in 2000.
Emeli Sande has revealed she has written a song for the original Sugababes line-up following their recently rumoured reunion.
The 'Daddy' singer-songwriter has penned a track for the band's original line-up of Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy and says she has always been a fan of the 'Overload' singers.
"Yes, that is true," Emeli confirmed to MTV News this week. "I've written for the original line-up of the Sugababes, which I'm very happy about because I just loved them when they first came out.
"I love their sound, it was so cool," the 'Daddy' singer explained. "It was very different so I'm happy to kind of be involved in what started the whole Sugababes journey.
The BRITs Critics Choice winner also says she has heard the group's new track and claims it "sounds amazing".
Emeli Sande unveiled the music video for her new single 'Next To Me' two weeks ago and will launch her debut album 'Our Version Of Events' on 13th February.
