Coldplay Dedicate Performance Of 'Fix You' To Mick Jagger At New York Show

Chris Martin paid tribute to The Rolling Stones frontman – who recently lost his girlfriend L'Wren Scott.

Coldplay's Chris Martin dedicated the band's performance of 'Fix You' in New York this weekend to The Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger.

The group were performing at the Beacon Theatre in the Big Apple when the frontman told the crowd "It's for Mick Jagger" as he introduced the anthem.

The tribute came just says after Mick said a final goodbye to girlfriend L'Wren Scott – who committed suicide back in March.

Jagger performed Bob Dylan's 'Just Like A Woman' during a special memorial on 2nd May.

The service took place at St. Bartholomew's Church in Manhattan and was attended by directors Martin Scorsese and Baz Luhrman, actors Julianne Moore and Meg Ryan and US Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Meanwhile, Coldplay are preparing for the release of their new album 'Ghost Stories' on 19th May.
