Here's where you can buy Brendon Urie's 100% Pride t-shirt.
It's officially Pride month, which means you can expect all your least-favourite brands to jump on the bandwagon and create completely meaningless products with rainbows on to cash in on the gays and their friends.
On a more positive note, you might also find your favourite musician rocking an extremely fly pride tee, as is the case with Brendon Urie's shirt at the Wango Tango concert this weekend in LA (June 2).
22 genius easter eggs and references in Taylor Swift's 'ME!' video
The Panic! At The Disco frontman turned up as a special guest to sing 'ME!' with his new BFF Taylor Swift. Given that it was the first day of Pride Month, the duo both took the opportunity to show their support and solidarity with the LGBTQ community.
Only a day before the show, Swift posted a lengthy Instagram post addressed to Tennessee Republican senator Lamar Alexander, calling on him to protect LGBTQ rights and support the Equality Act, which would extend protections for LGBTQ people in employment, housing, loan applications, education, public accommodations and other areas. The Democratic-controlled House passed the legislation in mid-May, though the Republican-controlled Senate has not picked up the bill.
During her set, Taylor - who wore a rainbow drenched ensemble - spoke to the crowd about Pride and the Equality Act: “It’s wonderful to be spending this particular evening with you, because today is the first day of Pride Month,” she said.
“A lot of my songs are about love, and I just feel like who you love, how you identify, you should be able to live your life the way you want to live your life with the same rights as everybody else. So I started this petition, and you can find the link on my Instagram. It’s for the Equality Act. and it basically just says that we want to send a message to our government that we believe everybody should be treated fairly in this country. If you sign it, it would really mean a lot to me, because I think we need to stick up for each other and stand together. Don’t you?”
Amen to that.
Brendon, who's previously opened up about identifying as pansexual, came out to surprise the crowd and had his own dedication to Pride Month.
Brendon wore a DKNY 100% Pride t-shirt, which was the phrase: "100% Love, 100% Equality, 100% Loud, 100% Proud, 100% Together, 100% Me", emblazoned on the front.
The limited-edition DKNY Pride Collection was created to celebrate Pride 2019 in partnership with the Hetrick-Martin Institute, which provides empowerment, education, and advocacy for LGBTQ youth in the NYC area and beyond.
If you want to pick up a shirt, they cost a reasonable $39.50 and you can buy them here.
Happy Pride, Ya'll!
