"I try very hard to make everyone happy at the m&g but sometimes you make it very difficult for me to feel comfortable enough to do that," Billie said in a set of now-deleted Instagram stories posts.
Rising star Billie Eilish is currently touring her debut album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? Her latest stops in New Zealand and Australia are drawing some of her largest crowds to date and Billie has been posting updates of her adventures down under.
Unfortunately, Billie has also had to address a recent groping incident she experienced during a meet and greet with fans.
In a set of now-deleted Instagram stories, Billie asked fans not to "grab [her] boobs in the meet & greet."
"Keep playing the shit cool but it's very much not," she wrote on Instagram.
"I think what happened last nigh[t] was just an accident so I acted like I didn't notice cuz I didn't wanna make her feel bad if she didn't mean to do it " Billie further explained. "BUT IF THAT SHIT WAS FR I'M GONNNNEEEEEEE"
"I try very hard to make everyone happy at the m&g but sometimes you make it very difficult me to feel comfortable enough to do that," Billie continued.
Other musicians have made similar requests to fans. Earlier this year, Panic! at The Disco's Brendon Urie asked fans to "please stop kissing [him] on the death walk".
Obviously, musicians like Billie Eilish and Brendon Urie are committed to creating memorable experiences for fans, but they're also people. Remembering the importance of boundaries is a huge step toward making sure yours faves feel as comfortable as possible.
Billie is also a 17-year-old girl, so fans should be especially mindful.
