Here's how to dress like Billie Eilish for Halloween.

2019 has pretty much been Billie Eilish's year. From dominating the charts with her debut album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? to championing causes close to her heart like veganism, everyone wants a lil' Billie in their lives. So, it'll come as no surprise that her famously unique aesthetic will inspire some Halloween costumes.

Billie's style is all her own. She's made beanies, baggy tees and… spiders her trademark. She's even got various collections, including a graffiti-inspired collaboration with Freak City and her own merch. Sadly, we don't all have Billie Eilish (or Tana Mongeau, who famously spent thousands replicating her style for a YouTube video) money. So, here's how you can look just like Billie for a little less.

Clothing

To achieve Billie's signature look you need one thing – oversized clothes. The singer famously likes her clothes loose and favours the 90s sportswear silhouette. Luckily, this is pretty easy (and cheap) to achieve. Simply grab a pair of trousers, shorts, t-shirt or hoodie a couple of sizes bigger in any colour (she loves neon and bright colours, FYI) and voila. Even better? Steal a hoodie from a loved one and then it's free.

Accessories

Billie loves her bling too (RIP, Billie's diamond ring). In her 'bad guy' video, she piles on the silver chains and she's often seen stacking up multiple rings. Pick up some silver bling on eBay or Amazon, better yet, you can even wear them when you're done with Halloween.

Another thing Billie is known for is her famously long nails. Getting a new set of acrylic talons just for Halloween can be pricey though, but there are press on varieties that are great for one night only. You also won't end up stabbing yourself or ripping them off like Billie did – ouch.

To really complete your look, there's a few extra props that you can grab. Billie is known for her clumsiness (she sprained both of her ankles on separate occasions…) so if you happen to have an ankle support boot lying around, it could work. And don't forget possibly adding sunglasses, a beanie hat, a fake spider and (hopefully fake) blood.

Hair

Billie's hair is an integral part of completing the Halloween lewk, like, who else could pull off neon green roots!? Some of us, however, don't have the budget (or the hair follicles) to maintain it. That's why a spray dye or chalk is perfect. Whack it on your roots exactly where you want and then wash it out the next day.

You don't have to do the neon green roots either. You can buy the spray dyes in SO many colours, so if you're more blue-haired Billie than grey-haired Billie it's not an issue. Simply select the colour you desire for the Billie vibe.
