SPTV Charity Auction

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio Services Ltd's ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (with the specific exception of clauses 2.1 to 2.6) (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/competition/) apply to STV Appeal 2011 (“the Charity Auction”) which will run from Monday 12th September  2011  to  Friday 16th September (“the Duration”).

The "Participating Radio Station" is 105 – 106 Capital Scotland.

By participating in the Charity Auction, anyone who takes part (“a Participant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and to be bound by them.

1. Details of the Auction
1.1 Throughout the Duration, listeners to the Participating Radio Station will be invited to take part in the Charity Auction for a chance to donate, bid for and/or purchase some fantastic items.
1.2 There will be two ways to participate in the Charity Auction:
1.2.1 By making direct donations via the Auction Line (“Donations”);
1.2.2 By placing bids via the Auction Line on items as they are announced online.
1.3 Each Participant must call 0844 7447447  (“the Auction Line”) between Monday 12th September  2011  to  Friday 16th September  (“the Bid Period”), specify which auction prize they are interested in and provide their details (name, contact number).
1.4 Participants must call the Auction Line only when directed to do so and only during the specified periods.
1.5 Where any item is either intended for a Charity Bid or Charity Sale, Participants will be invited to call the Auction Line as directed in clause 1.4 above.
1.6 With regards to the Charity Bid, once the item is announced online, bids will be taken for a specific period as announced online and on air (“Bid Period”). The highest bid received during the Bid Period will be announced on air to the extent permissible until such time that the bid has been beaten (if applicable). The highest genuine bid received from any Participant at the end of the Bid Period will secure the item. Where a Charity Bid is successful, the Participant will be contacted by the Participating Radio Station.
1.7 All Participants must ensure that they are able to pay for any item on which they wish to bid for or purchase or that alternatively, they can afford to give the Donation.
1.8 Payment for any Donation or Charity Bid must be by debit or credit card.
1.9 With regards to Charity Bid, no contract shall have been entered to between the Participating Radio Station and the Participant unless the amount to be paid has been deducted from or charged to the Participant’s account and the items in question have been dispatched to the Participant.
1.10 Title in the items successfully bid for or purchased shall not pass on the Participant until such time as payment for the item has been received by the Participating Radio Station and delivery has taken place.
1.11 Delivery of prize or voucher with prize details will be made within 28 (twenty eight) days to the address specified by the Participant. Please note deliveries will only be made to addresses within England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. When an item is delivered, risk of damage to or loss of the item passes shall pass to the Participant concerned. The Participating Station reserves the right to require photo ID from the winning bidder before delivering the prize.
1.12 All items offered for the Charity Bid shall be subject to availability and the Participating Radio Station shall not be liable for claims, expenses, costs and or any losses (such as but not limited to profits, indirect, pure economic, consequential or otherwise) or damage (save for death or personal injury arising from negligence) suffered by the Participant.
1.13 All calls to the Auction Line will be charged at standard national rate. Calls from mobiles and some fixed lines may vary. Please consult your service provider if in doubt.
1.14 All matters relating to the Charity Auction shall be at the sole discretion of the Participating Radio Station and the Global Group.

2. Eligibility
2.1 Participants must be over 18 years of age on the date of the auction or donation in question.
2.2 Any person using a telephone which is not his or her own should ask for the permission of the owner of the telephone before calling the Auction Line.
2.3 Notwithstanding that a winning bid has been received or a pledge for an item has been given, if the Global Group or the Participating Radio Station discover before the delivery of any item that for any reason under these Rules or Terms and Conditions the Participant should have been ineligible to give a Donation, or engage in the Charity Bid, or that any of the same should have been declared invalid due to any suspect activity, the Global Group reserves the right to reject the Donation, bid or purchase as applicable. In such circumstances, the Global Group reserve the right to offer the prize to the second highest bidder.
2.4 The actual owner of the credit/debit card must personally provide his/her credit/debit card details on the Auction Line.
2.5 The Global Group and the Participating Radio Station shall not be responsible for any failure on behalf of any Participant whose telephone call is not received by the Global Group or the Participating Radio Station.

24 hour access, 5 days a week Monday – Friday

Permit will begin in October.

Office vouchers are valid for 6 months

Office vouchers can only be used in Office stores

Office vouchers can not be exchanged for cash

Watch the making and broadcast of 6pm news

Meet Sean Batty and have a go at presenting the weather which will go on DVD for you to keep.
