One Direction Competition on The Capital Network
October 2012
RULES
1. The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/competition/ apply to the One Direction Competition ("the Competition") which will run between Monday 8th October and Friday 12th October between 1000-1600 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is The Capital Network (Capital Scotland, Capital North East, Capital Yorkshire, Capital Manchester, Capital East Midlands, Capital South Wales, Capital Birmingham, Capital South Coast and Capital London).
2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
Details of the Competition:
3. Listeners will be asked to name a famous New York landmark being described by a member of the band One Direction on air. To enter, an entrant must send a text message with the keyword “1D” followed by the name of the New York Landmark to 83958 (the ‘Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates.
4. The presenter will announce the opening and closing times of the text lines on air.
5. Only one text entry per person will be counted.
6. Once the text lines have closed, an entrant will be selected at random from all entries with the correct answer and contacted by telephone.
7. All entrants that are selected at random will be required to talk to the producer/presenter and a call will be recorded with the presenter and played on-air. If entrants fail to answer their phone or if any fault occurs immediately prior to or during these calls and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the caller, another contestant will be selected at random and the process repeated.
8. If successful, the entrant will be put into a draw on Friday 12th October to win the main prize. On Friday 12th October, one winner will be picked at random from all previous successful entrants.
9. The remaining entrants who got through to the draw on Friday will receive a consolation prize
Eligibility:
10. This competition is open to residents of the UK. For the prize at least one person traveling must be aged 21 and over.
11. With regards to the main prize, winners and any accompanying persons must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond the return date for the trip. Winners and any accompanying persons must obtain all visas, permissions and any other documentation required for entering and staying in the destination country. The radio Station is not liable for any costs associated with obtaining any such visas, permissions or documentation. Should the winner not be able to obtain the relevant permissions and visas to travel, the Radio Station reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.
12. For all US trips, UK Passport holders must hold a valid ESTA (electronic tourist visa) from the US Embassy, which can be applied a minimum of 72 hours prior to travel. Anyone not holding an ESTA will be deported from the US upon arrival without exception.
13. Winners will need to ensure they have travel Insurance, as this is not included in the prize.

3 tickets to see One Direction perform at Madison Square Gardens, New York on December 3rd 2012.
3 x Go1Den Tickets for ‘The Go1Den Ticket Holder Day’ on December 4th 2012 – where special activities will be organized and there will be an opportunity to meet One Direction.

Flights:
Each ticket includes a return flight to New York City from the UK.
Flights will depart from a UK Airport on December 2nd 2012, returning on December 5th 2012.

Hotel:
Accommodation, at a hotel just outside of New York City will be provided for three nights from December 2nd 2012.
The Room is one large room to sleep three people.
Arrangements for food will also be provided.
