Cola-Cola ‘Olympic Torch Relay Finale’ on Capital Network, June & July 2012
RULES
5. The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/competition) apply to ‘London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale presented by Coca Cola’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run on Saturday 30th June between 8am-7pm and Sunday 1st July between 8am-4pm (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is Capital Network.
6. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
Details of the Competition:
7. On the weekend of Saturday 30th June (3 giveaways) and Sunday 1st July (2 giveaways) presenters will invite entrants to text in to win Gold tickets to the ‘Olympic Torch Relay Finale’ event in Hyde Park.
8. To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message starting with the word with the keyword stated on air to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates. The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
9. One winner will be picked at random from all correct text messages received within the allotted time. Winners will be announced on-air and contact off air to be given further details of their prize.
Eligibility:
10. Entrants must be a minimum of 12 years of age, if the winner is under 15 years of age they will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18.
11. Entry is restricted to one entry per person for each competition round; duplicate entries will be removed but entrants will still be charged.
Prize:
12. Each winner will win:
Two Gold tickets to the VIP area of the Olympic Torch Relay Finale in Hyde park event on Thursday 26th July. The VIP area is a separate space to the side of the stage (although to view the event winners will need to leave the area), which has seating, a bar and concessions (note: there is no hospitality at the events so any food/drink at the event will need to be paid for by the winners and is not included as part of the prize) and private toilets.
Winners will need to make their own travel arrangements and will not be provided with any hospitality at the event.
Winners will be contacted by a Global Radio representative to arrange fulfillment of tickets.
Delivery of tickets will be via one of the following routes to be arranged with the winner:
1) At the box office on the event site, 2) Winners may need to come to the Global Radio office at Leicester Square to collect their tickets, 3) Winners will be sent their tickets in the post (sent recorded delivery), although Global Radio cannot accept responsibility for lost or delayed tickets.
If winners are to come to Global Radio to collect tickets, the winners and guests will be required to sign a participation agreement form providing their name and address and other details to enable the Promoter to verify their prize entitlement as a precondition for participating in the prize they have won. For winners and guests under 18 years, the form must also be signed by their parent or legal guardian. It is the responsibility of the winner (or the winner’s parent or legal guardian where the winner is under 18 years) to ensure that they and their guests sign and return their participation agreement forms. Failure to return signed participation agreement forms may result in the winner and/or guests forfeiting their prize.
13. Additional Ticket Terms & Conditions
14. Ticketholders aged 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult ticketholder aged 18 years or older or they will not be allowed into the Event site.
15. Please do not bring your own food and drink to the event. Any food and/or drink items found on you will be confiscated on entry to the Event site. A variety of catering and drink stands are available inside the event.
16. If you require medication for an illness or condition please ensure you bring your required medication clearly labeled together with a note from your GP.
17. Please do not bring any of the following prohibited items listed below. Items that are in the list below or considered not acceptable to bring to the event will be confiscated.
a. alcohol or any illegal substances
b. weapons (or anything that could be considered an offensive weapon)
c. whistles, air horns, sound systems of any kind
d. any gas or fuel related cookers, stoves or BBQ’s
e. laser pens or laser torches
f. knives of any sort including pen knives and Swiss-Army knives
g. animals (although Guide dogs are permitted where accompanied by their owners)
h. fireworks and flares
i. glass of any kind, including perfume and cologne bottles, beer bottles, jars or drinking vessels
j. cans of drinks
k. spray paint
l. any form of aerosol over 100ml
m. pop-up / camping chairs
n. wind breakers
o. flags - flags won't be allowed at the event . They restrict the view of people behind.
p. umbrellas - umbrellas won't be allowed at the event . They restrict the view of people behind.
q. professional recording equipment - live video/audio recordings made without the permission of the artists/Promoter are prohibited.
r. cameras with telephoto lenses will not be allowed through the arena entrance. Professional cameras and video/audio equipment are strictly prohibited.
18. If you have a disability please make the Global Radio aware of this once you have won.
19. Ticket holders may not engage in any activity which the Organisers considers to be related to unauthorised marketing or advertising (including, for the avoidance of doubt, individual or group ambush marketing). The Promoter reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the venue any person who fails to comply with this restriction or otherwise in order to facilitate the security, safety and comfort of all guests.
20. Please note that security will be carrying out bag and body searches due to the nature of the Evening Celebration event. Organisers ask you to cooperate with this process for the safety of all customers at the event.
21. Any lost property found on site will be stored at the Security Office for the duration of the event. Once the event is over the lost property will be kept by the local police.
22. Arrangements for the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale event may be affected by circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter; this includes the delay, postponement, or cancellation of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale event without notice and artists and billed attraction may be subject to change. Neither the Promoter nor its event partners (including LOCOG, Live Nation and Ticketmaster) shall have any liability to ticket holders in respect of such delay, postponement, or cancellation. If the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale event is cancelled for any other reason, winners will not receive an alternative prize, neither Coca-Cola nor Global Radio shall have any further liability on cancellation of the event if the winner has made travel or accommodation arrangments.
23. These terms incorporate, and should be read together with Ticketmaster’s and LOCOG’s terms, conditions, and regulations, which you can obtain from the point of purchase from the Ticketing Agent (Ticketmaster). The tickets are issued subject to the Rules and Regulations of the venue and Promoter.
24. Neither the Venue (Royal Parks), the Organisers nor the Ticketing Agent (Ticketmaster) shall have any further liability beyond the face value of the ticket won in the registration ballot.
25. Tickets will be scanned on arrival. No re-admission on ticket.
26. The organisers will not issue duplicate tickets for lost or stolen tickets.
27. Tickets cannot be exchanged and are non-transferrable. Tickets may not be sold (including by way of auction) nor advertised for sale. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotion, fundraising or marketing purposes (including in competitions, contests and sweepstakes). Unlawful sale or attempted unlawful sale of a ticket is grounds for seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation.
28. Entry will only be permitted on production of valid tickets.
29. Artists and billed attraction may be subject to change.
30. Ticket holders release the Organisers and its associated partners including the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Limited (LOCOG), the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) from any liability for personal damages, losses or injuries that may be suffered in relation to this event including damages and losses to personal property. Except as required by law, none of the organisers including LOCOG, the IOC or the IPC shall have any liability to ticket holders.
31. By entering the site ticketholders grant the Organisers, its nominated producers and other organisations officially involved in the Event Celebration permission to film, record, photograph and exploit that film, recording and / or photography all media worldwide in perpetuity, without payment. . This includes filming by the police, or security staff which may be carried out for the security of customers, or the prevention of crime and also includes filming by LOCOG and its broadcasters.
32. Ticket holders agree that any images, videos, or sound recordings they take at the event may only be used for private and domestic purposes and cannot be used for any commercial purposes, whether on the internet or otherwise.
33. This Prize Draw to those aged 12 (twelve) years or over (under 16s need parental consent) who are residents of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands only, excluding employees and their immediate families of Coca-Cola Great Britain ("CCGB"), Coca-Cola Enterprises Limited ("CCE"), agents of CCGB and CCE and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion and their immediate families. Ticketholders aged 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult ticketholder aged 18 years or older or they will not be allowed into the site.
34. Winners will not be issued with duplicate tickets for lost or stolen tickets.
35. Items brought to the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale event may be passed through a security scanner and you may be refused admission, or be ejected, from the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale event should you refuse to comply with such security measures. No refunds will be given if you are refused entry or ejected due to your own behavior. You are asked to cooperate with this process for the safety of all customers at the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale.
36. Please do not bring your own food and/or drink to the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale. Any food and/or drink items found on you will be confiscated on entry and will not be returned to you. A variety of catering and drink stands will be available inside the venue.
37. The event is held outdoors and you are strongly advised to bring appropriate clothing and footwear to protect against potential inclement weather.
38. Tickets will be scanned on entry and re-entry is not permitted on the same ticket.
39. Tickets must remain on your person at all times during the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale event.
40. Ticketholders may not engage in any activity which the Promoter considers to be related to unauthorised marketing or advertising (including, for the avoidance of doubt, individual, or group ambush marketing). The Promoter reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale event any person who fails to comply with this restriction or otherwise in order to facilitate the security, safety and comfort of all guests.
41. Strictly no trading is allowed at the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Finale event without the Promoter’s consent.
42. Ticketholders release the Promoter and its associated partners including LOCOG, the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and the International Paralympics Committee (IPC) from any liability for personal damages, loss, or injuries that may be suffered in relation to this event including damages and losses to personal property, absent negligence and death. Warning: prolonged exposure to loud noise may cause damage to hearing.
