I think we can all agree that since we're all home throughout the coronavirus pandemic we've become a little more relaxed. That means no makeup, no denim – and definitely no bra. Well, according to experts, if we don't wear a bra we could be leaving lockdown with much saggier boobs.
Apparently, leaving your boobs unsupported could lead to damage of the Cooper's ligament (the connective tissue in the breast that help them maintain their structure), Figleaves' garment technologist Victoria Shelton told FEMAIL.

"Our wardrobe needs have changed as we find ourselves at home. But we all still need to wear a bra as our breasts need to be supported – due to their weight you may damage your posture or have back pain if your breasts aren't fully supported," Victoria explained. "If breasts are left unsupportive damage can occur to the Cooper's ligament in the breast, causing them to sag."
Victoria went on to reveal how wearing a "super comfortable" maternity bra could help even if you're not pregnant. She added: "For comfortable alternatives, look for flexi wires (often used in maternity style) they give the shape of a traditional underwire but are super flexible and an alternative to non-wired styles.
"If you have a larger bust look for non wired styles that have seam cups as these have often been designed and fitted to support a larger bust. Padded hook and eyes and soft brushed straps are also key for comfort."
However, a 2013 study that spanned over 15 years actually found that wearing a bra weakens muscles that hold up the breasts. In fact, women who had never even worn bras had nipples on average seven millimetres higher in relation to their shoulders each year than regular bra users.
So, in conclusion, wear whatever you want. During this time, comfort is absolutely key and if you leave lockdown with slightly saggier boobs that's not the worst outcome of this whole pandemic.
