The London 2012 Olympic bronze medalist is apparently keen to get involved with the live shows of the music reality series.
Tom Daley is reportedly set to sign up for a role on the new series of The X Factor.
Team GB athletes such as Mo Farah, Sir Chris Hoy and Jessica Ennis have already been linked with a mentor position on the show during a special Olympics week of the series, however, The Sun reports that the 18 year-old star is the "keenest" of them all.
"All the athletes are keen to be involved," a source told the publication. "But Tom is keenest by far and he makes a really good match for X Factor's core audience of teenage girls."
The diver is also apparently eyeing up a presenter role on the show with the view that he could take up a "roving reporter" position.
"Tom is great on the telly and he'd really like to get involved in all the live shows in some way," continued the insider. "Ideas being kicked about at the moment include making him a roving reporter."
They continued: "He could take the contestants out and about to film or to be their personal trainer. He's keen to work with Dermot [O'Leary]. He reckons he's the best in the business."
Heptathlon gold medallist Jessica Ennis recently confirmed that she would love to get on board for the show saying she was a massive fan of the reality series.
The latest series of the show kicked off earlier this month and saw the London auditions take place this weekend with guest judge Rita Ora on board.
