The former judge is believe to be replacing 2012 panelist Tulisa on this year's series.
Tulisa Contostavlos is set to be replaced by Sharon Osbourne on The X Factor UK after it was reported the 60 year-old is expected to be offered the show's biggest ever salary.
According to fresh reports this weekend, former X Factor judge Sharon is set to sign a deal to return to the show for a rumoured £2 million, the highest signing fee in the show's nine year history.
"Sharon will be an X Factor judge and it is only a matter of days before the deal is finalised," a source told the The Mirror's Sunday People this week. "She is being paid a hefty sum of £2 million as Cowell is desperate to have her on the show.
"She is expected to earn half a million more in book and publishing deals," the source revealed. "There is no way she would turn down such a well-paid job."
While 2012 panelists Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh are all widely expected to return for another series of the show, 'Young' singer Tulisa Constostavlos is rumoured to have been axed in favour of the returning Sharon.
