The ticket prices for Drake's Assassination Vacation tour are being called out for being way too expensive.
If you're hoping to see Canada's finest, Drake, perform on his Assassination Vacation tour in the UK and Europe this year, you might have to take out a small loan to pay for your ticket, or maybe consider selling some useless organs on the black market because the ticket prices are VERY EXPENSIVE.
Announced on Tuesday (Jan 22), Drake dropped a ton of new concert dates including six night at the O2 Arena in London, three in Birmingham and two in Manchester, where the tour will start. (Tickets will go on sale at 9am on January 25, in case you're desperate to scream your lungs out to 'In My Feelings' alongside 20,000 other people instead of paying your rent this month x)
It's the first time Drake has done a proper tour in the UK since 2017 so it's a pretty big deal but fans are now complaining about how much the price of tickets are - and they're not wrong about it.
According to some of the pricing break downs for certain arenas in the UK and Ireland, Drake is charging up to £174 for a seated ticket (cheapest seat is around £50), and £140 for a standing ticket. £140!!!!!!!!! FOR STANDING!!!
Some fans are absolutely gagged at the pricing, pointing out that they can legit go on a holiday for less money than the price of one Drake ticket. Even the price of some festivals, where there's tons of different artists cost less than one standing Drake ticket.
£140 for Drake at The O2 might just be the most expensive standing price I've ever seen. Obscene prices. pic.twitter.com/yKyfOj0QH5

The last time Drake did the O2, the tickets were £100 English pounds. For that price I better be doing soundcheck and backing vocals

As someone who has 2 (yes 2) framed portraits of Drake in their bedroom I can safely say, he is not worth the £140 ticket price, ESPECIALLY for the O2.

Imagine paying £140 for a Drake standing ticket when he’ll probably be at Wireless and cost half the price

So drake is doing a UK tour. Standing tickets are £140 each.

This week Tesco are selling freddo bars for 10p each. So would you rather be at the back of an arena barely able to see drake or would you rather have 1400 freddos?
Others defended the ticket price though. Drake always puts on a pretty spectacular show and has so many MANY hits that some fans are saying it's totally worth the price tag.
When it comes to Drake, just book the tickets, don’t worry about the price lol

it’s funny how everyone’s laughing at the price of drake tickets but everyone’s still gonna buy them
