This Message From The 1975 Is Freaking Us Out

Their cryptic campaign continues.

The 1975 have been teasing their fans with new material pretty cryptically for weeks now. They’ve been deleting socials, sharing posters, and a ton of other things that could mean...literally anything. At midnight on May 2nd, they posted a countdown clock to their site that was leading up to the end of the month. There was also a video featuring technology, Ed Sheeran, a Kanye tweet, and Drake.

Also hidden within the site is a link to a zip file that contains four images. The file names for the images are “the1975.jpg”, “dotcom.jpg”, “forwardslash.jpg” and “conversation5.jpg”. If you put them all together (because sure, who wouldn’t try that) you get a link.

And if you follow the link you get an all-caps conversation between “a human and a machine” about morality. You can read the entire conversation below.

As well as this update, new posters have been found all over the place. What could it all mean? Is "A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships" the next single title? All will be revealed soon, we're sure...
