The 'Warzone' star was pranked by his bandmates to mark his birthday ahead of tonight's awards ceremony.
The Wanted's Max George celebrated his birthday on stage in Los Angeles last night where his bandmates treated him to a cake in the face to show their affection.
The 'Glad You Came' singers played a special pre-MTV Video Music Awards 2012 (VMAs) concert at Avalon in Hollywood yesterday (5th September) on the eve of singer Max's 24th Birthday, and bought out a special chocolate cake on stage to mark the occasion.
However band members Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Tom Parker then caked the 'Warzone' star in the face with his birthday treat, although Max took the prank in good jest and laughed it off despite being covered in chocolate cream.
"Awwww thanks everyone for the bday wishes!! I forgot I'm 8hours behind!!!:) love you all!!! X," Max tweeted yesterday after the gig, while Nathan posted: "Awesome gig tonight!! Thanks to all the special guests and all the fans… You are amazing!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY @MaxTheWanted!!!"
Yesterday also saw The Wanted announcing that their brand new single will be called 'I Found You', the lead single from their highly anticipated third studio album.

The 'Chasing The Sun' stars shot the music video for 'I Found You' last month in Los Angeles, where they were pictured decked out in suits while driving a car and being chased by screaming female fans.
The VMAs take place tonight at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles where The Wanted are set to present an awards as well as being nominated for Best New Act.
