Max, Jay, Tom, Nathan and Siva tell Capital about their success Stateside.
The Wanted have said they were amazed by how well they have been received in America.
Max, Jay, Tom, Nathan and Siva delighted fans during a sold-out gig at New York's Gramercy Theatre in October.
Speaking to Capital FM about the gig as part of their takeover, Tom said he believed the internet had helped earn them recognition despite not really promoting themselves in the US ahead of their show.
"The good thing is, with the power of the internet these days you can buy into something without even being in the same country, and for us that's a massive thing," he said.
"The social-networking thing was a big help when we first started and the fact that we've gone over to America and there were fans singing every word…that's due to the internet.
"You don't have to be in every country to promote your album because of the internet and stuff."
The Wanted's new album 'Battleground' is out now and features their new single 'Warzone'.
The band are among the acts set to perform at this year's Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball in London in December.
