The 'Take The Crown' star speaks about being the sixth member of the group since singing with them on the X Factor.
Robbie Williams has said that he and One Direction share a love of "bad tattoos" and has always been a member of the group.
The Take That man sang with the boys during their appearance as contestants on The X Factor back in 2010 and he told the Daily Mail it's great watching the group growing up.
"I sang 'She's The One' with them on The X Factor, so I've seen various stages of their growth," he said. "And I've been a member of One Direction, as it were. So I like seeing how they're doing."
Robbie also said he keeps an eye on Harry Styles' love life and has feelings of envy.
"Following Harry and his many romances and being slightly envious," he said.
He also opened up about their shared love of tattoos, albeit not the best ones.
"Checking out their new tattoos and me showing them my new tattoos. I'm in the One Direction bad tattoo club. I have bad tattoos – so do they," he said.
He then added: "They're winning. They're got some horrendous ones."
Meanwhile, Robbie kicked off his 'Take The Crown' stadium tour over the weekend and also closed the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2013 at Wembley Stadium this month.
