The 'Don't Hold Your Breath' singer reportedly wants to focus on her music career.
Nicole Scherzinger is rumoured to have left her role as a judge on The X Factor USA.
E! News claimed that the former Pussycat Doll has already spoken to Simon Cowell who has given his permission for the star to move on.
The source told the website: "She's spoken to Simon and he's given her his blessing."
The 'Right There' singer had already expressed that she may return for a second stint in the judges seat but the intense schedule appears to have played a part in her decision to leave.
The source added: "X Factor took a lot more of her time than she ever expected. She didn't have any time really to work on her music. She was doing X Factor six days a week."
She joins Welsh host Steve Jones who has also parted ways with the show after making an announcement on his Twitter page earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Will.i.am recently revealed to Capital FM that he has recorded a classical song with Nicole for his new album '#willpower."
