The 'Wet' singer says if she is asked she would like to return for a second season as a judge on the FOX reality series.
Nicole Scherzinger says she would consider returning to The X Factor USA next year if asked to rejoin the judging panel in 2012.
The 'Try With Me' judge admitted the role had been difficult at times due to the emotional contestant eliminations but said she would not rule out returning for a second season.
"If they would like to have me back [I would]," Nicole told Access Hollywood this week before pausing to consider her decision.
"Right now, it's been a very emotional year for me. I'm an artist first and a judge second so I wear my heart on my sleeve and I do empathise, so nothing could have prepared me for that.
Nicole said the first half of 2012 will be focused on pushed her solo music career with the US release of her debut album 'Killer Love'.
She added: "My album's going to come out and I'm touring. My fans have been waiting for it."
The 'Wet' singer also said she wouldn't be interesting in hosting The X Factor USA if asked because she prefers being a mentor.
"When hosting it's about asking how they feel and I'm an artist so I know how they feel already and I'm tapped into them."
The X Factor USA live final is due to air tonight on FOX in the US.
