The 'Heart Skips A Beat' singer admits he's worried the former Pussycat Doll will think he's a "stalker".
Olly Murs has admitted he has a crush on new X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger.
The 'Dance With Me Tonight' singer told The Sun he is a little worried about meeting her again this year after an incident where he gave her an elongated hug last year.
"She's gorgeous," he confessed. "I remember hugging her for like the longest hug ever last year. I’m worried about meeting her because maybe she thinks I’m some stalker.
"She came on The Xtra Factor and I gave her this 50-second hug. She was like, 'What is this guy doing?' So I'm obviously a bit worried about meeting her again."
Nicole has previously filled in as a guest judge on the show and was officially handed a permanent position on the new series last month.
Olly admitted he was looking forward to heading back for presenting duties alongside Caroline Flack on The Xtra Factor and thinks the show will be great.
"I think Nicole's going to be brilliant. The whole panel will be great," he admitted. "Tulisa and Gary have both had that first year now — I think they're going to be a lot more ruthless this year."
Nicole was axed from her position on the US version of the series earlier this year, and the Essex-born star added that he thinks the American star will answer her critics.
"There was some sort of criticism but I think the reception she's getting here in the UK, from what Caroline's been telling me, has been brilliant," he said.
Meanwhile, Olly is currently working on his new third studio album and will release a new biography called Happy Days this October.
