The R&B star says he is excited the 'Wild Ones' singer is finally achieving mainstream success.

Ne-Yo has praised Sia as an "incredible" artist following the Australian singer reaching new levels of fame in 2012 after featuring on several huge worldwide hits.

The 37 year-old singer featured as a guest vocalist on both David Guetta's 'Titanium' and Flo Rida's 'Wild Ones', as well as penning Rihanna' recent hit 'Diamonds', and R&B star Ne-Yo says it's strange people are only just catching on to how good Sia actually is.

"For me, personally, I've been a fan of Sia for a long time," Ne-Yo revealed to MTV News this week. "From Zero 7 to 'Some People Have Real Problems', these are her albums and people that she worked with before she got popular, so to speak.

"She's been incredible for a long time," the R&B star explained. "Her mastery of melody, from just the way that she works, her words and phrases, it's been incredible.

"And people are just now catching on! Y'all are late. Everybody's late," he joked.

The 'Beautiful Monster' singer went on to say that 'Let Me Love You', his recent single co-written with Sia, is one of his favourite songs in recent times.

"That's one of the very few co-writes I've ever done," Ne-Yo revealed. "It was an opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone for a minute and just really try something new."

The US singer is currently working in the recording studio with Beyonce on a new song for her fifth studio album, after previously working together on the 2006 single 'Irreplaceable'.

Ne-Yo is set to kick off a new UK arena tour, supported by 'Young' singer Tulisa, starting on 6th March at Newcastle's Metro Arena.
