Nicki Minaj is having a major year. Despite multiple controversies and a highly publicised feud with Cardi B, the 'Good Form' rapper is still at the top of her game. From chart-topping hits of her own ('Chun-Li', 'Bed') to record breaking collaborations ('Big Bank', 'Woman Like Me'), Nicki is going nowhere and last night she won The Female Artist of 2018 and The Album of 2018 at the People's Choice Awards.

It's her Female Artist of 2018 acceptance speech that everyone is talking about though. Alongside all of the people you would expect Nicki to thank, from her management to her label and everyone that worked with her on Queen, Nicki actually gave a quick shout out to someone no one expected. At the end of her speech, Nicki thanked the one and only Michael B. Jordan in the funniest way.

The speech started out extremely heartfelt. Nicki said: "I just want to thank everyone who was on the album, every featured artist, every producer, everyone that helped this album happen for me but most importantly my amazing fans. You guys are so frickin' epic. I can't imagine my life without you. I love you to pieces. I can't wait to see you on tour." So far so normal.

However, Nicki then made everyone laugh by saying: "And shout out to Donatella Versace for custom making this outfit for me and shout out to Michael B. Jordan because he's gonna be taking it off of me tonight." Amazing, right? As far as we're aware Nicki was just joking (she and Michael haven't been romantically linked before) but we're living for this flirting.

It's no secret that Michael B. Jordan is pretty much universally considered a heartthrob (the whole world wants to be his girlfriend), so we can't help but admire how forward Nicki has been. And we're not the only ones.

What an inspiration. Nicki was last rumoured to be dating Lewis Hamilton but currently appears to be single and, as far as we are aware, Michael does not have a girlfriend. So, who knows? Maybe this could turn into something concrete.
