Madonna's divorce: Material girl goes solo

Madonna is officially back on the market.

The singer and director husband Guy Ritchie have confirmed they are splitting up after eight years of marriage.

Madonna is currently on her Sticky and Sweet global tour and Ritchie is filming in France although he is understood to have flown back to the UK to discuss the situation with his parents.
