Lily Allen Thanks Fans Following Birth Of First Child

The singer has been left "touched" by the public's messages of support.

Lily Allen has issued a thank you message to her fans following the birth of her first child.

The 'Smile' singer, who has yet to reveal a photo of her baby, said she had been "very touched" by the public's response.

Lily gave birth to the baby girl, whose name is still unknown, last month. The child is her first with boyfriend Sam Cooper.

In a message on Twitter, she wrote: "Thank you for all the flowers and lovely messages everybody. very touching indeed. nuff luv x x"

The new arrival comes one year after Lily suffered a miscarriage while six months pregnant in November 2010.
