Lily Allen recovering

Lily Allen is on the road to recovery after being treated for septicaemia.

The singer was taken ill at home just days after suffering the tragic miscarriage of her son, the second baby she has lost in three years.

Doctors diagnosed her with blood poisoning and following a course of antibiotics and the 25 year old is thought to be making good progress.

Her publicist Murray Chalmers says, "Lily Allen is back in hospital, where she is being treated for septicaemia.

"She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve. Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone while she recovers."

Allen also suffered a miscarriage in 2008.
