The stress of organising her wedding is clearly getting to the 'Smile' singer, who hints she might run off to Gretna Green.

Is Lily Allen about her ditch plans for her big day and marry in secret?

The 'Smile' singer is due to tie the knot with construction boss Sam Cooper on 11th June in Gloucestershire. But the stress of organising the event is clearly taking its toll on the bride-to-be.

"Tip of the day: don't ever get married, its a nightmare," she Tweeted, adding that meddling by those involved in the wedding is starting to get on her nerves.

Minutes later she Tweeted: "Is there a train station at Gretna Green?", suggesting that she's considering running off to Scotland for a no-frills wedding.

A fan who is also planning a wedding replied that she too was thinking of eloping because of interfering guests.

Last month Lily also vented her frustration at being left off the guest list for the royal wedding. 

"Why does bloody Joss Stone get an invite and not moi?' she posted. "I sang at the Diana concert too!"
