Lily Allen has lost her second child.
The singer was admitted to hospital on Thursday night with stomach pains but doctors couldn't save the unborn baby
Lily was 6 months pregnant and her and boyfriend Sam Cooper were overjoyed at the prospect of becoming parents.
Lily's rep says in a statement: "It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby.
"The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made".
Allen also suffered a miscarriage in 2008 when she was expecting a child with then boyfriend Ed Simmons, of dance band The Chemical Brothers.
The singer was supposed to sing at this weekend's Grey Goose Character & Cocktails: The Elton John AIDS Foundation Winter Ball 2010 in London, but had to pull out.
