Lily Allen "Flattered" By T-Pain's '5 O'Clock' Single
Lily Allen has said she feels "flattered" that T-Pain has sampled one of her tracks for his new single '5 O'Clock'
The track, which is taken from the rapper's forthcoming album 'Revolver', is due to be released on 5th December.
T-Pain decided to use the sample of Lily's 'Who'd Have Known' after hearing the original when he was put on hold while in a conversation with a store assistant at the Apple Store.
"When I first heard the T-Pain track '5 O'Clock In The Morning’, I was really impressed by how well he interpreted my song 'Who’d Have Known'," Lily said.
"The ironic thing about this was that I had re-worked Take That's 'Shine' by writing a brand new lyric to their song – which became 'Who'd Have Known'. So Take That's original song continues to have legs by being re-written, twice over."
Lily added: "I love '5 O'Clock In The Morning'! It's absolutely brilliant, and I'm really flattered by what he did to my original track!"
T-Pain's 'Revolver' is released on 6th December.
