Cardi B has now defended Kylie Jenner against the backlash.
A petition calling for Kylie Jenner to be removed from Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's 'WAP' music video has reached almost 65,000 signatures.
On Friday (Aug 7), the rappers dropped their unapologetically raunchy bop, which featured cameos from Kylie Jenner, Normani, Rosalía, Rubi Rose, Sukihana and Mulatto. But some had a problem with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star starring in the video because of her and her family's history of cultural appropriation.

One fan has even taken it further by starting a petition to actually get Kylie removed from the video. The petition description reads: "The video was perfect until we saw K and I wanted to throw my phone." It currently has almost 65,000 signatures with a goal of 75,000 signatures.
Although the internet roasted Kylie's appearance initially, some thought the petition was a step too far.

People signing a petition to remove Kylie Jenner from the wap music video is a prime example that others dont want you to shine, they really do not want to see you happy and looking good.

Cardi B has now defended the decision to have Kylie in the video. Basically, someone compared Normani's choreography to Kylie's, erm… walk down the corridor. The tweet read: "If that's not a perfect visual indication of Black some having to do the most and white women doing the bare minimum to get somewhere I don't know what is."
In a series of tweets, which have now been deleted, Cardi hit back: "Why did I put Kylie on my music video? She treated my sister and daughter so lovely at her kid bday party. Travis and Set are real close and Kris Jenner have giving me advice on certain things I ask for and her husband real cool with mine [sic]."
In another tweet, she continued: "Normani is one of the best female artist that dances. Like she dances her fuckin ass of! Why would she open a door? Please tell me how that would make sense? The best part of the song is the beat & hook it what makes you want to shake your ass.
"Not everything is about race. There's issues out here in the world that is about race that I preach all the time about. This is not about fuckin race.[sic]."
