The 'Lay It On Me' singer also talked about her time on The X Factor in 2011.

Kelly Rowland was named Top TV Personality at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards last night (29th May) in central London.

The 'Down For Whatever' singer picked up the top award in person yesterday at the annual event, held at London's Berkeley Square Gardens.

Kelly made a big impact on UK television in 2011, when she appeared as one of the new judges on ITV1's The X Factor series.

Thank you to the GREAT BRITISH PUBLIC and Glamour readers for my award. I was so shy and shocked to receive this! I love you!#glamourawards," Kelly tweeted last night after the event.

The Glamour Awards also saw Jessie J pick up Best Solo Artist and Kylie Minogue receive an Outstanding Contribution award for her 25 years in pop.

During the event Kelly spoke out about her decision to leave The X Factor after only one series, and says she expects great things from The X Factor guest judge Rita Ora.

"You know what, I had so much fun last year, I really enjoyed it last year," Kelly told Capital FM at the Glamour Awards. "I know there's some judges that are coming in now, I'd love to see what Rita Ora's going to do, she's such a great personality."
