Kelly Rowland Denies Beyonce Jealousy Claims: "It Had Nothing To Do With Her"

The 'Dirty Laundry' singer insists her recent song was not about jealousy but her own personal issues.

Kelly Rowland has opened up about recent claims she suffered from professional jealousy of her friend and former bandmate Beyonce.

The 'Keep It Between Us' singer returned with new single 'Dirty Laundry' this year which featured song lyrics hinting at jealousy of Beyonce's solo success after Destiny's Child.

However Kelly insists her feelings shown in the song lyrics had nothing to do with the 'Love On Top' singer and were more related to getting her own life in order.

"For a long time I wasn't happy but that had nothing to do with Beyonce," Kelly declares in the new issue of Essence magazine. "That had to do with me trying to get my life in order and make better decisions for myself.

"I'm seeing all these wonderful things happen for her and I am happy for her," Kelly explained. 'But I want a path, I want things to pop off for me too.

"Not on her level but whatever my level is supposed to be," the singer added.
