Find out exactly what Kanye West had to say about Kim Kardashian, the paparazzi and being a "messenger" during his interview.
Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel put aside their differences and ended their feud during the US host's chat show on Wednesday night (9th October), in an interview that saw the rapper declaring himself "more of a messenger than a rapper".
The pair had a falling out on Twitter last month after a sketch Jimmy Kimmel ran spoofing a recent Kanye interview, leading the pair to exchange harsh words on Twitter, after which Kanye joined Jimmy on the show to talk out their feud.
After making amends, the 'All Of The Lights' rapper proceeded to explain his recent comments that he is a "creative genius", as well as clarifying statements he made comparing himself to everyone from Steve Jobs to Leonardo Da Vinci.
Kanye also opened up somewhat about his relationship with Kim Kardashian, with whom he has a daughter named North, and said there is "no way" the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star doesn't deserve a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
Check out the six most memorable quotes from Kanye West's interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, on everything from his relationship with the paparazzi to wanting to help the world:
"The way the paparazzi talk to me and my family is disrespectful. We bring something of joy to the world. When people hear my music they have a good time. And I should be respected as such when I walk down the street. Don't try to antagonise me. Because, you know what, it's not safe for you in this zoo. Never think that I'm not from Chicago for one second".
"Everyone out there in the TV world, real world, whatever world you stay in, needs to know I've never done a publicity stunt in my life. I don't do publicity stunts, ever. So don't ever think that."
"I'm not running for office, I'm just here to make good music and make people feel good. Because for me, I'm a creative genius and there's no other way to word it. I know you're not supposed to say that about yourself, I say things the wrong way a lot of times, but my intention is always positive. I want to help the world. I want to make people's lives easier."
"People told me I couldn't rap. People had all this advice for me. And I wouldn't even say I'm a rapper, I'm more of a messenger than a rapper. I'm totally weird and I'm totally honest and I'm totally inappropriate sometimes. But for me to say I wasn't a genius, I'd be totally lying to you and to myself."
"When I compare myself to Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Howard Hughes, David Ster, Michaelangelo, Da Vinci, Jesus… these are my heroes. This is the type of impact I want to make on the earth."
"I want to shootout to the Walk Of Fame. They said something like they're not gonna put my girl on the Walk Of Fame because she's a reality star. People are so dated and not modern. There's no way a Kim Kardashian shouldn't have a star on the Walk Of Fame".
Kanye West kicks off his new 'Yeezus' tour with a show in Seattle on 19th October.
