Halsey broke her toe trying to save a butterfly and it looks SO painful

Ouch! That had to hurt.

Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the greater good and Halsey's poor toe just happened to be the worthy offering. The 'Nightmare' singer broke her toe trying to save a butterfly, but in a twist of fate, it was already dead.

Halsey shared the gruesome image of her bruised, battered and broken toe on Twitter, alongside a photo of the butterfly. She also revealed how the accident went down.

She tweeted: "today: I was trying to save a hurt butterfly in the jungle. I broke my toe. turns out the butterfly was already dead. I have alien feet I know. I sacrificed having nice feet when I committed to a life of dancing on stages and saving dead butterflies. this hurts."

Firstly, SO many questions: What was Halsey doing in the jungle? What jungle was it? What kind of shoes was she wearing? Were they jungle appropriate? Clearly, not.

Halsey has a thing for butterflies hence her willingness to risk it all for one. The merch and cover for her single 'Without Me' featured an orange butterfly that had landed on a skull.

And during the world tour of her second album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, butterfly-shaped confetti fell from the ceiling as she performed 'Alone' on stage.

Anyway, Halsey is now the unofficial Queen of butterflies. Thanks, bye.
