Gotye Beats Nicki Minaj To Claim Fifth Week At Number One On Vodafone Big Top 40

The singer-songwriter hangs on to the top spot with 'Somebody That I Used To Know'.
Gotye's hit single 'Somebody That I Used To Know' has made it five weeks at number one on the Vodafone Big Top 40.
The track beat off strong competition from Nicki Minaj and 'Starships' which retained second and Emeli Sande's 'Next To Me' making up the top three.
The highest new entry came from the former X Factor champion Alexandra Burke with 'Elephant'.
Stooshe's Travie McCoy featuring single 'Love Me' debuted at number nine with Tinchy Stryer and Pixie Lott's song 'Bright Lights' sneaking into the top ten.
Elsewhere, Marcus Collins claimed his first top 20 song with his debut single 'Seven Nation Army'.
Dappy, who dropped to 24 with 'Rockstar' this week, recently confessed that he wanted to record 'Somebody That I Used To Know' with an artist like Jessie J before it was released.
The Vodafone Big Top 40 airs every sunday with Rich and Kat between 4-7pm.
