Kimberley Walsh: "Cheryl Cole And Tre Holloway Could Go The Distance"

The 'Something New' star's comments come as Cheryl's father apparently gives marriage the go ahead.

Cheryl Cole's Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh has suggested that the singer could "go the distance" with her boyfriend Tre Holloway.

It comes amid reports that Tre has been given permission by Cheryl's father's to marry his daughter.

The 'Call My Name' star's dad apparently gave his blessing at Christmas after Cheryl began hinting that she was ready to marry for a second time. She was previously married to footballer Ashley Cole.

Appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show, Kimberley admitted Cheryl was very fond of her boyfriend.

"She's known him for quite a long time. A few years, he danced for her the first time years and years ago. Yeah he's a lovely guy so I'm happy that he makes her happy," she said.
 
Kimberley added: "I think it could definitely go the distance, yeah they're really happy."

Meanwhile, Girls Aloud are due to return to the road next month on their reunion tour, which will see them play arena venues across the UK.

It follows the release of their latest greatest hits album 'Ten' last year, which included the new song 'Something New'.
