"I told her we could try and learn whatever song she wanted... she chose Welcome to the Black Parade #dreamcometrue."
As musicians around the world treat us to at-home gigs and online concerts amid the coronavirus pandemic, My Chemical Romance's Frank Iero decided to take his musical offerings one step further by sharing a video of his daughter performing one of MCR's biggest songs.

While at home practicing the art of social distancing, Frank took to Instagram to post a clip of one of his twin daughters, Cherry, learning how to play 'Welcome To The Black Parade' on bass – a track that she chose herself.
And, to add an extra layer of brilliance to the whole thing, he posted the video on March 22nd. *G note intensifies*
Writing on Instagram, Frank told his fans: "Cherry shocked me this week when she told me she wants to learn to play bass, so rad!!! Here’s a little footage from her first lesson."
He then went on to explain that the iconic choice of song was completely her idea: "I told her we could try and learn whatever song she wanted... so armed with a @mikeyway signature @fender Mustang and her uncle @tipgiblets sweet pea pick she chose Welcome to the Black Parade #dreamcometrue."
In the video, Cherry can be seen strumming away, with little guidance from her dad as he watches on.
So while MCR's reunion tour may have been tragically postponed due to this coronavirus business, at least we now have Cherry's musical genius to look forward to. Looks like the second generation of MCR already have it in the bag.
