'Read All About It' singer Emeli Sande will support the band on their 'Mylo Xyloto' tour.
Emeli Sande will support Coldplay for six dates of their upcoming European tour.
The 'Heaven' singer has been forced to postpone a homecoming show in Aberdeen so she can appear at the band's 3rd December concert at Aberdeen's Music Hall.
"It's a great opportunity to support Coldplay," Emeli told the Daily Record. "But I'm disappointed the Glasgow date means I'm going to have to move my hometown show.
"I'm sorry for everyone who's brought tickets and I promise we'll have the new date soon."
Following the Aberdeen show Emeli is scheduled to open at Coldplay's O2 Arena concert before following them to performances in Paris, Cologne, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Frankfurt and Berlin.
Emeli will support the band at this year's Mencap Little Noise Sessions in London on 24th November, and has also been confirmed for the Sunday line-up of the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball in December.
