The 'Next To Me' singer recorded the song for the soundtrack to the new movie The Great Gatsby.
Emeli Sande has revealed that rapper Jay-Z was full of praise for her rendition of Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love' for the soundtrack to the new movie The Great Gatsby.
The Scottish star teamed up with the Bryan Ferry Orchestra for the song and admitted to MTV that at first she was nervous at performing the song.
"It was initially quite daunting, especially because Jay-Z is the executive producer," she said. "But [it's] a big honor to be involved, and it was really, really fun going to the premiere and seeing it all come together."
The 'Daddy' singer also revealed she was yet to meet Beyonce but Jay-Z's approval was more than enough for her.
Listen to Emeli's cover of 'Crazy In Love' below:
"I haven't met Beyonce, but I met Jay-Z afterwards and he was digging it," she added. "So that's good."
It was also rumoured that Jay was attempting to put Emeli and Beyonce together in the studio as he tipped the singer for big success in the US.
