The Scottish singer-songwriter says it was a pleasure to write some new songs with the R&B star.
Emeli Sande says Alicia Keys was down-to-earth and didn't have a "big ego" when they met up to record music together recently.
The 'Read All About It' singer has been working on several tracks with the R&B star and admits she was originally worried Alicia wouldn't live up to her high expectations.
"I was worried that this big inspiration I had was just going to be a big ego, but Alicia was so cool," Emeli told RWD magazine.
"It was nice meeting another artist who cares and wants to use music to influence change," Emeli explained. "Even better that she's someone I've loved since I was a teenager."
The 'Daddy' singer also revealed she has penned several tracks for Leona Lewis' next album.
Earlier this month the 'Heaven' singer was announced as the winner of the BRIT Awards Critics Choice Award 2012.
Emeli Sande will release her debut album 'Our Version of Events' on 6th February, 2012.
