The 'Rockstar' rapper says he wants to achieve more chart hits before attending the prestigious awards event.
Dappy says he is hoping to be nominated at next year's BRIT Awards and wants to continue releasing hits for the next year to ensure he feels like he deserves to be there.
The N-Dubz rapper says that despite scoring his first solo number one on the Vodafone Big Top 40 with 'No Regrets' in 2011 he still wouldn't feel comfortable being at the BRITs just yet.
"I don't feel I deserve to be at The BRITs yet," Dappy told The Sun this week. "I need a year of hits, then I'll be able to go.
"I've had a No1 but I need a couple more."
Despite having yet to achieve BRITs success himself as a solo artist, Dappy says he is happy for this year's big BRIT Award winners Adele and Ed Sheeran, who both walked away with two gongs at last week's ceremony.
He added: "I was so happy for Adele and Ed Sheeran."
Last week Dappy told Capital FM that his aim is to score several more number one singles and wants to continue creating "irresistible music".
Dappy released new single 'Rockstar' yesterday (26th February), featuring Queen guitarist Brian May, as the second single from his upcoming debut solo album 'No Regrets'.
