Coldplay Nominated For Best Group At BRIT Awards 2012

The 'Paradise' band are up against the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian in the best band category.

Coldplay are among the bands nominated for best group at this year's BRIT Awards in London.

The ceremony, which takes place at the O2 Arena on 21st February, will also see Elbow, Arctic Monkeys, Elbow and Kasabian contest the British Group prize.

Coldplay's nomination follows the release of the band's latest album 'Mylo Xyloto', which features the singles 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' and 'Paradise'.

Voting for all of the categories at this year's BRIT Awards has now opened, including the British Single award, which is voted for by listeners of Capital FM.

Each listener who casts a vote for British Single will be entered into a competition to win a pair of tickets to this year's ceremony.
