The 'Swagger Jagger' singer has been supporting girl band member Jesy over cruel comments posted about the singer's weight.

Cher Lloyd has reached out to Little Mix member Jesy Nelson to advice The X Factor hopeful about online bullying.

The 'With Ur Love' singer was a victim of cyber bulling herself during the show's 2010 series, and has told Jesy to simply ignore the negative comments.

"Cher rang me up and she is so lovely," Jesy told The Mirror yesterday (22nd November). "She gave me some really positive advice and told me that she got it all last year so she knows what I'm going through.

"She told me not to listen to the negativity because if she had she wouldn't be where she is now."

Cher announced her first headlining tour of the UK earlier this week and has been tweeting her excitement about taking new album 'Sticks + Stones' on the road.

"I can't wait to get on that stage and perform for all of ya," she tweeted yesterday. "Never thought I'd ever be having my own tour!"

Cher's former mentor on The X Factor Cheryl Cole admitted earlier today she is proud of the 18 year-old's recent chart success.
