There is no question that Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are two of the biggest stars in the world today. Over the past decade, Nicki has transformed from a promising emcee into a rap icon and Cardi B is quickly establishing herself as one of hip-hops most consistent hitmakers. It's hard to imagine modern music without them. In fact, they've even teamed up on the international smash hit single 'MotorSport' with Migos.

However, in spite of their collaboration and kind words about each other in the past, the two artists have now had a bust-up. A lot of the drama surrounding them previously has been fostered online and hasn't had much grounding in real life but the two women were part of an actual fight at New York Fashion Week last week. Cardi B threw a shoe at Nicki Minaj and it's now been immortalised in meme form.

Last Friday night, TMZ published a video in which Cardi is filmed getting into an altercation with Nicki. In it, the 'I Like It' star throws a shoe at the 'Barbie Dreams' rapper. For context, it's unclear exactly how the incident actually began. Cardi took to Instagram afterwards to explain that she felt like she had to do something after Nicki made comments her 'child' but Nicki has since denied these claims.

In fact, Nicki has now gone on to her radio show Queen Radio to reveal that she felt "mortified" by what happened and then called out Cardi for “calling black women roaches” and allegedly sending people to attack women with which Cardi's fiancé Offset has reportedly cheated. It looks like this rift isn't dying down anytime soon.

Nevetheless, regardless of all of the updates, people still can't get over the shoe palaver. In fact, they are so stuck on it that they are now adapting it into memes. With that in mind, here are just a few of the best.
