The 'bad guy' singer appeared on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show on Monday (30 Sept) alongside her brother, Finneas O'Connell.
Finneas has co-writing credits on a lot of Billie's tracks, so the siblings sang live in the studio, and discussed creating music together. But, as the interview drew to a close, Billie's parents Maggie Baird and Patrick O'Connell came in to meet Howard and the crew.
Patrick and Maggie, who are both actors, were asked to describe the night they conceived Billie, you know, just in case someone listening wanted to create a musical genius of their own.
It was then that Billie's parents revealed that after having Finneas naturally they struggled to conceive again, so they went to a fertility clinic for help.
"Well, Billie was conceived with the existence of a fertility clinic," Billie's mother said. "So, Billie was built in a lab," Howard joked, and then Billie's father admitted: "I was alone in a dark room."
